My name is Sue and I am 47 years young. I've lived in St.Paul all my life. I've been married to a wonderful, understanding
man for 27 years. I have two beautiful and talented daughters, a wonderful and helpful son-in-law, and two cute grandsons,
ages 8 and 6.
I've been working in an elementary school in Special Education for 15 years. I love my job working and helping
children. Last summer I had to have back surgery and this has been a hard year of recovery and trying to work.
My mom starting teaching me how to sew when I was 10 years old. I've been sewing and loving it since then. My
mom would sew all the time when my 4 sisters and I were growing up. She made alot of our clothes, especially on Easter, Christmas
and other special occasions. When my sisters and I, one by one were getting married, my mom and I made the wedding
gowns, attendants gowns, and flower girl dresses. I have designed and made many prom dresses for my 20 year old daughter
and her friends. When my oldest daughter was getting married I created her wedding gown and veil with hand-sewn sequins and
beads on it. I also made the attendants, and flower girl dresses. My mom was fighting Cancer at the time, so I did it all
myself.
My mom and I had this dream about starting a business creating and sewing medical scrubs. When we were at doctor
appointments, we would always say, "We can make cute novelty scrubs", or "We need to do this". Well, my mom took a turn
for the worse and passed away 5 years ago. I decided to go ahead with OUR dream.
